Most of this information, with the exception of the Minotaur and Werecat, has been copied from Harry Potter Wiki.
Trolls:A Troll is a magical creature of prodigious strength and immense stupidity. Trolls generally reach a height of twelve feet and weigh up to a ton. They are violent and aggressive, and engage in unpredictable behaviour. Trolls originated in Scandinavia, but are now found all across Europe. Trolls feed on raw flesh, and are not fussy what they eat, from animals to humans.
Troll language is nothing more than grunts that only Trolls seem to be able to interpret. Trolls understand a limited number of Human words, and some smarter ones can be trained as security Trolls.
The Mountain Troll is a breed of Troll. They are the largest and most vicious of the Troll species, and are bald and pale-grey. They sometimes use Graphorns as mounts.
The Forest Troll is a breed of Troll. It has pale-green skin, and some specimens have thin straggly hair that is either green or brown .
The River Troll is a breed of Troll. It has short horns, purple skin, and is hairy. They are often found lurking beneath bridges or in the middle of rivers, haunting crossers. The largest river troll was defeated by Almerick Sawbridge and was believed to weigh a ton
Giants:A fully grown Giant stands roughly twenty feet tall, and appear to be large Humans. Giants are not as intelligent as Wizards, but they have their own language, culture and societal structure. They are capable of learning English, and presumably other languages as well. A Giant tribe is led by the strongest Giant, known as the Gurg.
Minotaurs:Minotaurs have the body of a man and the head, legs and tail of a bull.
They are quite intelligent and are skilled in the arts of Divination, Potions and Arithmancy. Like Centaurs, they come in a large variety of colors, though the most common are deep brown and tan. Minotaurs carry large weapons like axes and clubs, and can be seen using large animals as hunting devices as well. They live in groups called 'clans' and can number in the hundreds. A Minotaur leader or chieftain, no matter the gender, is called a 'Brute'.
The shamans of the Minotaurs are the only ones allowed to practice 'spell magic' with their hands, which is like having a wand for a wizard. Other Minotaurs are limited to using only Divination, Potions and Arithmancy. If a non-shaman is caught practicing 'spell magic', he or she will be killed for breaking the law.
Centaurs:A Centaur is a magical creature that is a fusion of a human and a horse. Despite being intelligent, Centaurs are classified as Beasts by the Ministry of Magic at their own request since they were unhappy at having to share Being status with Hags and Vampires.
Like Humans and horses, Centaurs can come in a variety of colours, ranging from deep black to palomino. They have the body of a horse, and the torso, arms and head of a Human.
Centaurs are forest-dwelling, and in each country where colonies exist, the Wizarding authority has set aside land exclusively for their use. One place Centaurs live is in the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts. However, Centaurs have their own methods of concealment, and avoid contact with both Wizards and Muggles. They generally live in herds of ten to fifty individuals.
Centaurs do not use wands for magic, but are known to be well-versed in magical healing, Divination, archery, and Astronomy. Centaurs burn herbs such as Mallowsweet to refine their stargazing findings. In fact, the centaur Firenze taught Divination at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, starting in the year of 1995-1996.
Werewolves:A Werewolf is a human who, upon the rising of the full moon, turns into a fearsome near-wolf. Werewolves can be distinguished from regular wolves by several large distinguishing characteristics, such as the pupils of the eyes, snout shape, tufted tail and humanoid shape. At all other times, they appear as normal humans, though will often seem to be ill as the full moon approaches. This condition is caused by infection with lycanthropy, usually occuring when a human is bitten by a transformed werewolf. There is no known cure but the effects can be lessened with a certain potion. Lycanthropy is a magical illness known to be spread by saliva-blood contact; thus, a human bitten by a werewolf in wolf form will become a werewolf him or herself.
Werecats:Feles Diabolus: The Werecat or Weretiger.
Devil Cats are beings who were said to have been created in the same manner as the first werewolf. They then spread through biting their victims and breeding once their numbers were high enough to prevent inbreeding. A Devil Cat can only be killed from multiple bites or scratches from your everyday house cat or through a spell such as the killing curse. Poisons cannot harm them and knives, swords, bullets...etc, unless run through the head, will only make the beast mad.
Though they are not truly immortal, they do sport a long life span, with females living as long as two-hundred years before finally becoming too old to feed themselves. They come in all shapes, sizes and colors, and the skin of a Devil Cat does not have to be the same color as his hair. A full moon does not effect them, they transform at dusk and with some classes, can force a transformation during the day if angry enough. Males and females are roughly the same size when mature and the males are much more aggressive than the females. Young Whelp males are smaller than the females and show less aggression than the females at this stage.
Whelps are born looking more cat like than human, no matter what class they are, and normally are born two at a time though rare cases have them being born one at a time with a chance of twins. It is possible for the werecat to breed with a non-werecat being, but only the female werecat can pass the gene on to the offspring. If a werecat and werewolf breed, no matter which gender pairs are attempted, none of the offspring will be werecats or werewolves as both species cancel themselves out..Even through biting. Werecats cannot produce offspring with the undead (Vampires), though can be turned, but would result in a loss of all humanity. An undead werecat is pure animal and cannot take human form again,
They will also take sun damage and are more sepceptible to cat bites, taking less of them to kill it. All other weapons short of a powerful person using the killing curse will be uneffective on them.
Devil Cats live in groups called ‘prides or casts’ with prides having both genders and casts only having one. Devil Cats enjoy living together, though females are more likely to go off on their own than a male. Loner males are called rogues and will only attach themselves to another loner werecat or other loner werecreature.
It is not uncommon to see only two werecats of the same gender living together, though these are normally siblings. It is impossible to have a Homosexual werecat because of its genetics; if the person was before being bit, they won’t be afterward.
Devil Cats need a potion made of Black Grass to keep them semi-human. Black Grass can be found in areas where people have been killed by the killing curse.
A Devil Cat cannot choose his class, it is determined by the genetics of the one that bit him or birthed him. If the female that birthed him was of a certain class, the Devil Cat will be of that class as it is the Female that passes the gene on.
Devil Cats have three forms that are known to wizard kind:
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg204/N.../Werecat2-1.jpg▪Class One Common: Bipedal Werecat: A large creature similar to the werewolf in appearance, except that it has feline features instead of canine ones. This form or ‘class’ of werecat cannot run on all fours because it is built more like a human than the werewolf, but they are still capable of doing pretty much everything the other classes can. They have very little hair on their bodies, looking like bald, over grown rats. And possess the ability to ‘shimmer’ or fade out when in shadow; they can become almost completely invisible, but can only hold this ability for ten minutes before they need to rest or eat... Because this is such an energy consuming task, this class only uses it as a last resort to assist escape. If they hold it too long, they risk passing out or dying.
The limits and abilities of this class are as follows:
▪ Cannot run on all fours.
▪ Are much slower than the other two classes, yet seem to possess more stamina than the other two.
▪ Are capable climbers and swimmers, though tend to sink and drown in deep water due to their muscle weight.
▪ Can only Transform at night and need more sleep to regain used strength from night before.
▪ Are able to become almost completely invisible, but at a high cost of energy.
▪ unlike a werewolf, they can maintain their ‘human mind’ to a degree and are able to use it in solving basic problems.
▪ Can Breed only.
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg204/N.../Werecat1-1.jpg▪ Class Two Rare: Quadruped Werecat: A massive, humanoid werecat that resembles a large tiger or lion with the basic body build of a human and arms that are close to a gorrila. They are covered in masses of long, smooth hair and sport four inch long fangs to kill their prey with.
The limits of this class are as follows:
▪ Can run on all fours and is limited to this as their hind legs are not build for bipedal actions.
▪ Are faster than the bipedal class, yet possesses less stamina than the other two.
▪ Are avid climbers and acrobats.
▪ Can only Transform at night and need more food to regain used strength from night before.
▪ Are unable to ‘shimmer’.
▪ Cannot last long in water due to excess hair which will bog them down.
▪ Have minds very much like the werewolf in that they become animals and cannot control themselves.
▪ Breed and bite..
http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg204/N.../Werecat3-1.jpg▪ Class Three Rarest: Monster Cat: A massive, extremely intelligent, humanoid werecat that resembles The Quadruped class, though are able to walk and run upright. They are covered in short, wire like hair, except around the face and tail, where it is quite long and smooth. Like the Quadruped, they too sport long fangs but are around six to eight inches and hang out of the mouth like a saber-tooth tiger.
The limits of this class are as follows:
▪ Can run on all fours and walk upright.
▪ Are faster than the previous class, and have pretty good stamina.
▪ Are avid climbers and acrobats. Cannot swim due to body structure but are not afraid to tread waist deep water.
▪ Can Transform at night and through ‘channeling’, which requires a full belly and lots of anger. Energy used the night before is quickly regained through food and basic sleep.
▪ Are able to ‘shimmer’ and hold it for twice as long as the Bipedal, but unless it is night time, they cannot hold their cat form and shimmer at the same time. Cannot die from ‘over shimmering’ but will pass out.
▪ Cannot breed, they can only produce more werecats through biting.
▪ Have basic control of themselves at night like the biped but can solve much more complex problems.
▪ Have no control of themselves if they force a transformation during the day and only calming down will make them revert back.
THESE SKETCHES ARE MINE SO PLEASE, NO STEALING.
Vampires:A Vampire is a magical being that is known for biting people on the neck and sucking their blood. They are usually pale and gaunt[1], with sharp teeth for puncturing the neck. They have an aversion to garlic, and can be kept at bay by its presence.
Vampires are classed as Beings by the Ministry of Magic, a fact that led both the Centaurs and Merpeople to decline the same status since they did not wish to be associated with them. They are not considered to be Wizards, and the treatment of Vampires is laid down in the Ministry's Guidelines for the Treatment of Non-Wizard Part-Humans.
Although Vampires are studied in Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, they obviously have rights and are not considered a true threat to the Wizarding community. However, this view does not appear to be universally held. Some people, such as Rita Skeeter, advocate that the Ministry of Magic should be "stamping out Vampires" rather than "quibbling about cauldron thickness", while others act as Vampire hunters. Others hold the opposite view, such as the author, Eldred Worple, who spent time living among Vampires, and wrote a book, Blood Brothers: My Life Amongst the Vampires. He also considered the Vampire Sanguini a friend.
