The Headmaster of SilverFang

Just a bit about your Dark Lord/SilverFang Headmaster. Many things about him are not here as this is the information made “public” for parents of the students.

The fact that he is the Dark Lord is not known to all outside the SilverFang school, many just think he is a tad bit on the dark side. Only those who learn of it from him know that he is indeed the mysterious Dark Lord Sharoth that they hear so much about.

Job Title: Dark Lord/Headmaster of SilverFang. Current Teacher of the Dark Arts until another that he trusts can take over.

Wand: Ebony, 10 ½ inch, Dragon heartstring core, quite sturdy.

Children: Twins; Lyov (Son) and Scarlet (Daughter)

Animagus form: An unusually large white wolf.

Ellie: A young female king cobra (Carries her with him during classes or when in the gathering hall.)

Archimedes: his eagle owl.

Ivan and Anastasia : Two black Friesian horses (for every day riding or for pulling the carts during the Christmas festival.)

Sasha: A statue of a large female serpent of an unknown magical breed; she is venomous type and is about fourteen feet long. She resides in his office wrapped around a sword at all times until he needs her.

Peh: A Chinese demon toad that is used in Dark Arts and DADA classes for many reasons.

Personality: Nickolas is quiet, but if provoked into a conversation, he will drag it out for as long as it is useful. Sly, quick and intelligent, Nickolas is not one to be fooled. He uses Oculomancy to interrogate his foes and will resort to the Unforgivable Curses if need be. Nick appears to be a normal person at first glance and indeed he appears to be so when spoken to. But he is far from your loving neighbor and in his case, looks are deceiving.

He spends most of his time recruiting new members to his ‘dark order’ known as the Cian Tynan (Ancient Dark) or “Ancient Darkness”, also known as the Nekros (Unseen Death). Or trying to outwit the Auror’s department; though during the school year, he will be at SilverFang all day every day until term ends.

Nickolas has a weak spot for stray animals and people who need guidance. Believing that if you take in something or someone no one wants, it or they would be more likely to follow you to the death. Nickolas also has a wife of five years, Anna. He has a set of twins who just recently entered the world and would do anything to protect them from harm.

Nick enjoys spending time with his family and his pets, one live snake, two horses and one owl.

Appearance: Tall, Athletically muscular, Nickolas carries himself with an air of entitlement, his red-ish hair is short cut but not quite burred. His face is a labyrinth of personality, as one can never quite tell what he is thinking. With high cheekbones, a pronounced chin and piercing yellow eyes, Nickolas is a mystery to all those not close to him. He prefers to wear rough-cut suits (Much like a muggle pinstripe suit, but with more pronounced edges and longer over coat) to cloaks, because he believes it helps him to blend in with his surroundings, though he has a pitch black cloak with an invisibility charmed hood for special occasions.

History: Nickolas comes from a long line of noble wizards, though he is not the first of his family to turn dark, he is however the first to attempt to teach in a school. Most of his family line has been in the wand and spell making business, dealing with dark objects and such so Nickolas is well versed in these things. Born in Russia, Nickolas was raised in a cold, dark and cruel world. Having no siblings, Nick often went out to local villages looking for boys his age to play with. Though he had little luck, as most of the villages there were not of wizarding origin, but of Muggle.

Nick was a scrawny little boy that dressed in clothes that clung to his frame and with overly red hair that would put even the famous Weasley family to shame. His wide, “bug” eyes and clumsy nature made him an easy target for bullies of all ages. Out of the many villages near his home, there was one that had a large population of children. This being a draw for little Nick, he would many a time find himself trying to start conversations or play games with the locals.

This was a setback in Nick’s ability to make friends, as he was bullied mercilessly by older Muggle boys and girls because of his “odd looks” and “weird ability” to make snakes follow him around. Nickolas then took to hiding from any children in the area, either ducking behind walls or climbing trees, making his parents worry about what would happen when he finally went to school. Nickolas moved to Scotland with his parents after they decided to move in closer to the school that he would soon be attending. The closest village that Nick could visit and would be able to see wizarding children his age and older, was a little place called “Gryphon’s Point”. There, Nick tried again to make friends. But again it was a complete failure.

This time it was not only his “odd looks” and “weird ability”, but his awkward handling of a simple magic, the fact that he had a lisp and that he could only speak Russian. The lisp became worse when his upper lip was ripped open by a curse from an elder wizard boy, who was frightened of Nick’s Parseltongue gift because of past events with a certain Parselmouth. Nick then separated himself from not only the children in the village, but his parents as well, for they did little to help Nick with his problems. Nickolas was eleven when he took to staying in the local inn, avoiding everyone except the inn keeper, who took Nick under his wing and taught him how to speak English.

He attended SilverFang two weeks after he moved into the inn and it was there that he found his talent for the Dark Arts and Transfiguration. His first two years there were somewhat of a nightmare, as most years above his were hell bent on making his life miserable. Though the houses are asked to shelter their own, the members of Darkscale house at the time that Nick was there, were not too keen to let an odd boy mingle with the perfect.

Nick found his head dunked in the toilet about thirty percent of the time he was there, and his school bags charmed to attack him in class when he tried to pull objects out of them. One such student was a young man named Lucien, who after much pleading from the teachers not to abuse Nick, decided that he needed a little “pet” anyway.

Nick took the Dark Arts class once he entered third year and it was at this time he learned his strengths. Lucien attempted to make Nick “pay” in a Dark Arts class that they had been instructed in to use a spell that would make a person feel pain. Of course, they all chose to use the Cruciatus Curse. Nick on the other hand, had decided to disarm Lucien once the professor said “begin” and then used an unknown spell non-verbally to make Lucien hurt.

Well, needless to say, Nick’s anger and concentration put Lucien in the Healer’s ward for a week complaining of ambient pains to his body. From that point forward Nick was feared to the point that students would part in the Gathering hall to allow him to pass between them to his destination.

He made A’s (though bearly) in all but three of his O.W.Ls in which he had made O’s, and then continued on to N.E.W.Ts with fairly high marks there.

Once Nickolas left SilverFang, he found the world allot more hostile toward his ideals and visions than even Lord Voldemort had. Nickolas then chose this time to go underground and start his secret order, the Cian Tynan (Ancient Dark or Darkness).

The followers of this order are called the Nekros (Unseen Death) and the teachings of this order are very much the same as those the Death Eaters once followed with one difference, blood status is of no concern. Nickolas doesn’t care if you are a pure, half or Muggle’s-Born so long as you have magic in your blood, and you don’t support the Muggle’s or Muggle supporter’s views.

A few years later, Nick was invited by a friend to a gathering for individuals of “certain talents”. There he met a woman who, after many fights, a lot of patience and a good deal of time, became his wife. Together they set the Nekros on their current path to glory.

Once word got out that SilverFang was in need of a head of house for Darkscale, Nickolas took his family to Scotland and returned to his school once more. He started off as the Head of Darkscale and professor of Transfiguration and as a stand in for the Dark Arts. After two years however, the old Headmaster retired, having decided that raising dragons and other dangerous beasts was much safer then raising the children that arrived at SilverFang. Nickolas then took up the Headmaster’s post, and dropped Transfiguration which his wife now took over. Currently he is the head of Darkscale, professor of the Dark Arts and the Headmaster.

After two years of being the Headmaster, an old school rival came calling, and asked to be inducted into the Nekros. Nick accepted under the condition that said person would take up the position of shop keeper at The Shop of Companions.

Nickolas has been the headmaster of the school for eight of his ten years there and is doing his best to teach a new generation of witches and wizards the art of all types magic that are untainted by the ministry and outsiders.


Tid bits of knowledge:

All of Nick’s pets are on the school grounds during the school year. His horses can be “rented” by sixth years and above for ten Galleons an hour if they wish to ride them.

Archimedes, though the Sorvenski family owl, can be used for delivering large packages by students in the Creeper’s group and by teachers. The fee for his services is five Galleons per package.

Ellie visit students in the Gathering Hall and in class rooms at any time of day and has been known to sneak into common rooms.

Nick does not speak Russian anymore, although he knows how, he chooses not to, as it reminds him of his painful past.

Nick’s yellow eyes were not from birth, he was the victim of a badly thought out curse by a fellow Darkscale at age sixteen. This came about when an Animagi “show and tell” was held at the school. Nickolas had a much better form then that of the one who cursed him, the person in question was outraged that this “odd ball” could have such a form and retaliated.

Nick was caught mid transformation and had to have it reversed, but his eyes remained the wild yellow of that of his form...the wolf.

Nick's Parselmouth ability has been traced back to a family of wizards that had existed in Russia at the same time Slytherin did.
